With just 2 days to go to the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, preparations are in full swing to make it a memorable event.
If you cannot make it to London on 3rd June, you can still catch a glimpse of some of the most historic and beautiful boats of the world near Tower Bridge. On the banks of the Thames, above and below the Tower Bridge, vessels that are too large to travel on the Flotilla will be moored from June 1st (ie today) until 4th June. This mile long stretch is called the "Avenue of Sail" and will be home to some beautiful vessels like the - Sceptre, Gipsy Moth, Primrose CK273, Ellen Matianne, Tahilla, Spirit of Chartwell, Lucia and many many more.
If you can travel to London on 3rd June, then be there by atleast 1:00 pm to get good viewing places. Though the pageant can be viewed from the bank of the Thames, 47 large viewing screens will also be put up for the spectators. These screens will be located at - Chelsea Embankment, Grosvenor Road, Milbank, Lambeth Bridge, Westminster Bridge, Victoria Embankment and Blackfriars Bridge.

Battersea Bridge: 2.25pm
Albert Bridge: 2.45pm
Chelsea Bridge: 3pm
Vauxhall Bridge: 3.10pm
Westminster Bridge: 3.25pm
Waterloo Bridge: 3.30pm
Blackfriars Bridge: 3.40pm
Southwark Bridge: 3.45pm
London Bridge: 3.50pm
Battersea Park, which offers one of the best views of the Flotilla, will be a big royal party zone on Sunday. There will be live music, orchestra, story telling rooms, carboot sale, vintage salons and market, dance lessons and much more.
So, head to London for an amazing day this Sunday (3rd June 2012)
