Trafalgar Sqaure hosted the celebrations for St Patricks day (on Sunday 18th March) with a range of Irish music and dance performances.
There were performances by:
- Award-winning musician Gemma Hayes
- The platinum-selling High Kings
- Dance fusion group Hammerstep
- Country and Irish music group Crystal Swing
- Irish trio the Mulkerrin Brothers
- A blend of traditional Irish and modern music from Four Men and a Dog
We went to the parade and the event at Trafalgar Square and enjoyed the Irish performances. I also enjoyed looking at the various head gear people turned out in. All kinds of hats, caps, hair bands, tattoos, and dresses - sharing the same theme - green and Irish. It was fun to see people putting in their best to stand out form the crowd.
